Your photo

PassportCrop does not have a server-side upload path. When you choose a photo, whether by file picker, drag and drop, or the in-browser camera, it's decoded and cropped entirely on your device using the HTML canvas API. The image data is never sent over the network, never touches a server we operate, and is never stored anywhere outside your browser's memory for that page session. Closing or reloading the tab discards it. This holds regardless of whether analytics (below) is enabled, since analytics never has access to the image data. The two systems are entirely separate.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage: which pages are visited, which country tools are used, and whether the upload/download flow completes, so we know what to improve. GA4 sets cookies in your browser and collects:

Google's retention and processing of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using browser extensions such as Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or by using a browser/extension that blocks third-party analytics scripts.

Cookies

Aside from GA4's cookies (above), PassportCrop sets a single first-party value in your browser's local storage to remember your light/dark theme preference. No other cookies are set by this site.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties beyond the Google Analytics processing described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
